We’re Frida and Richard, and we want to welcome you to Salty Waffles. A brand-new loaded potato waffle concept that’s the result of our travels and life together.
Waffles might sound simple, but for us, they’re a symbol of warmth, surprise, and creativity. The idea for Salty Waffles was born during our travels — from biting into a perfect Belgian waffle in Brussels to savoring crispy Reibekuchen on the streets of Cologne.
These comfort foods stuck with us, not just for the taste, but for the way they brought people together, felt unpretentious, and left a lasting impression.
And then there’s our shared love of potatoes — golden, crispy, soft, salty, comforting. It made us wonder:
Why not take the joy of street-style waffles and give them a savory, potato twist?
That wonder became a concept,
and the concept turned into a mission:
to create something playful and craveable, rooted in what we personally love.
When we came back from our trip to Cologne, something shifted. We looked at each other and knew it was time. Time to stop putting off our ideas. Time to take a leap of faith. We didn’t just want to talk about building something of our own — we were ready to do it.
Salty Waffles is the start of that leap. It’s bold, it’s personal, and it’s exactly what we want to bring into the world right now.
